Rowling found the book easy to write, finishing it just a year after she began writing it. The book was published in the United Kingdom on 8 July 1999 by Bloomsbury and in the United States on 8 September 1999 by Scholastic, Inc. Along with friends Ronald Weasley and Hermione Granger, Harry investigates Sirius Black, an escaped prisoner from Azkaban, the wizard prison, believed to be one of Lord Voldemort's old allies. The book follows Harry Potter, a young wizard, in his third year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Rowling and is the third in the Harry Potter series. Eventually, the truth of Peter's guilt and faked death and Sirius's innocence was found out, but when Lupin admits never took a potion that kept him from becoming a werewolf, a series of events spiral out of control, and only time-travel will save people from their fate.Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is a fantasy novel written by British author J. Hagrid became the new Care of Magical Creatures Professor, but he's upset when Buckbeak was provoked by Draco into attacking him, and Buckbeak was sentenced to death. Harry begins the third year of education at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, where he meets Remus Lupin who agrees to teach him the way to defeat the Dementors placed at Hogwarts (who keep targeting Harry by accident), to keep it safe from Sirius. The wizarding world think he was to blame for betraying James and Lily Potter, and being a loyal servant of Voldemort, they think he wants to kill Harry. ![]() In the summer of 1993, Sirius Black escapes Azkaban and goes into hiding. It won many awards, including the Whitbread Book of the Year, American Library Association Notable Children's Book and the Nestlé Smarties Book Prize Gold Medal for children aged 9–11. ![]() Others claimed that the "Potter spell" was working well. The book was immediately acclaimed, for being "brilliant", the "best book yet" and "a charm". At that point in her life, she was happy and comfortable, no longer in financial worry and yet to face the immense tension and need of writing the later books that came with the popularity of the series. Rowling found writing the book better fun and far easier than any other book in the series, which she thinks shows.
